I bought this to 1) charge my iPad at night, 2) give me a stand to hold up my iPad while it plays Internet Radio/Music while I'm in bed and 3) as an Alarm/Clock.

For all three it works great. I used to knock my iPad off the nightstand when the Alarm went off-- The smart cover as a stand just didn't do the trick for me! Not anymore!

There is one big problem. When powered on, there is a bright blue LED power light. I couldn't get to sleep with this light in my face. I had to put my Smart Cover on this Dumb Design power light. I haven't figured out if there is a way to turn off this light. I will probably go to handy dandy duct tape to cover the light.

The sound is only so, so, but for the price I paid on Amazon for this product, I'd still recommend it. If you are an audiophile, I would recommend the products that are much more expensive.

A pleasant surprise! I didn't know what to expect but the sound quality is really good especially for the size and price. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that you have to take the iPhone/iPad out of it's case to connect it to the dock connector.
